Visual Systems Research, Inc. (VSR) today announced that Faroudjaｮ, a division of Genesis Microchip Inc. (Nasdaq: GNSS) and an industry leader in video-enhancing technologies for professional and home environments, has selected VSR's Panamorph optical technologies for integration into several high-end projection systems distributed under the Faroudja brand name.

Waterford, Mi (PRWEB) January 7 2004--Visual Systems Research, Inc. (VSR) today announced that Faroudjaｮ, a division of Genesis Microchip Inc. (Nasdaq: GNSS) and an industry leader in video-enhancing technologies for professional and home environments, has selected VSR's Panamorph optical technologies for integration into several high-end projection systems distributed under the Faroudja brand name.

VSR's proprietary anamorphic optical technology works in combination with Faroudja image processing to deliver widescreen 16:9 format images using the full native resolution and light output of high performance 4:3 digital projectors. Faroudja is currently using the Panamorph technology in three of its projectors.
