12/4/2003 Curacao, December 04, 2003 - The Prima Poker Tour (www.PrimaPoker.com) turned up trumps at the Irish Winter Festival poker tournament last week in Dublin, Ireland with their four celebrity poker players (collectively known in the poker world as The Hendon Mob) finishing in the money no less than five times in four tournaments!
The main event, the biggest ever on Irish soil, saw both the Boatman brothers in contention at the final stages. But the icing on the cake was Ram Crazy Horse Vaswanis victory in the Tournaments final event - 100 Euro No Limit Texas Hold em, keeping up The Mobs record of at least one trophy on every stop of The Tour.
Current Irish Open Champion Joe The Elegance Beevers declared this years competition the toughest Ireland has seen. He attributed the record field (125 of Europes best players) to the increasing popularity of poker, fueled chiefly by the availability of the sport online, bringing tournament poker to players in the most remote corners of the globe. Joe noted that most players in the tournament play online and it was clear from the competition that their virtual poker practice had brought a new dimension to the game.
Ram Vaswanis win in the final event marked yet another milestone in the three continent Prima Poker Tour, and after only three of The Tours eight stops, the Prima sponsored Mob have finished in the money an impressive 21 times, picking up an amazing five tournament trophies. That makes The Mob pokers equivalent to Ferraris F1 team the best competitors backed by the best technology in the business. |
